Seven Patches Seven Days, 7p7d, was conceived as a modular experiment and conducted on January 9th to the 15th. The rules were to begin with an unpatched system, patch, play, record, and unpatch within a time interval of two hours for seven consecutive days with the same modular system. The goal of the experiment was to create an environment of pressure, while working to make each, a unique patch. The modular chosen was a Makenoise system due to the variety of controllers, and sound sources from a single modular maker. The sound source signals were mixed live through a RXMX and sent through a single Rosie into an MXR reverb pedal. Then, the final signal recorded in Logic.
